Day 4, the 1st dive of the new year day was at Kudarah Thila in the South Ari atoll. The current was neither too strong or too weak. The number of Bluefin Trevallies and Giant Trevallies was fewer than normal. The number of Dogtooth Tunas was more than normal by contrast. The Spotted Eagle Rays, which we had not seen lately, were there gracefully in the middle. The Bluestriped Snappers spread just like a big yellow carpet, covering a reef. Plus, the Yellowback Fusiliers and Yellowdash Fusiliers were impressive to me. The 2nd dive was at Moofushi Kandu. We successfully encountered with many of Grey Reef Sharks at the channel edge as expected. They surprised us that most of the Grey Reef Sharks started preying at the same time, out of the blue. Besides, total 4 Alfred Mantas appeared at their cleaning station. The 3rd dive was at Fish Head in the North Ari atoll. The beautiful formation of the False Moorish Idols were seen as usual. The 4th dive was at Maayafushi Lagoon as a night Manta. Total 3 of Alfred Manta Rays showed up! Yay! The water temperature was 26-31 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The visibility was 10-30 meters. To be continued…
