Day 1, the 1st dive was such a laxury check dive with Manta Rays at Lankan Reef in the North Male atoll. There were total 4 of them at their cleaning station. The 2nd dive was at Finger Point. The visibility was not so good because of the outgoing current from inside of the channel. Still we could enjoy to observe Whitetip Sharks asleep at the sand area and even Grey Reef Sharks. Neon Fusiliers were getting attacked by Giant Trevallies and Bluefin Trevallies.
Day 2, we were there, in the Baa atoll. The 1st dive was at Dhonfanu Thila. The fantastic visibility surprised us with a view to the fur away! That was very rare to happen in the Baa atoll. Neon and Variablelined Fusiliers were getting attacked by GT and Dogtooth Tunas. A couple of Napoleonfish passed by slowly. The juvenile of Spotted Eagle Ray was a good model of our underwater photograph. We also witnessed a Moray Eel was preying the other Moray Eel. The 2nd dive was at Dharavandhoo Corner. Humpback Snapper and Oriental Sweetlips were gathering near the reef. Around the cleaning station, Harlequin Sweetlips and Oriental Sweetlips were getting cleaned. And the school of Bigeye Trevallies were running from the attack of Dogtooth Tunas. The 3rd dive was at Dhigu Thila. Right after the entry, a Manta Ray appeared! We could stay with the Manta but we moved to the main reef to see the beautiful Luminous Cardinalfish and Pigmy Sweepers and so on. They were the cute babies! We enjoyed to see the endemic species of Evansi Anthias and Indian Flame Basslets at the overhang as well.
The air temperature was 26-31 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The visibility was 10-30 meters. To be continued…
