Happy Lunar New Year! I am sorry for the delayed report. But we had a nice Chinese new year celebration during the trip with the guests from South Korea! The check dive was at Maagiri Rock in the North Male Atoll. We enjoyed observing the regular Garden Eels, Spaghetti Eels, Bluestriped Snappers and the juvenile of Fragtail Surgeonfish, which was uncommon to see in the Indian Ocean. The 2nd dive was at Fish Tank. There were about 3 dozens of Pinkwhip Rays. The school of False Moorish Idols and very fatty Moray Eels were seen as well.
The day 2, we started the day with the 1st dive at Rashoo Blue in the Rasdhoo Atoll. We could successfully found Hammerhead Sharks! Hooray! The 2nd and the 3rd dive were at Rasdhoo Madivaru. Grey Reef Sharks, Whitetip Sharks, Blotched Fantail Rays, Bigeye Trevallies were seen. We also celebrated one of the guests who had the 100th memorable dive with us! The 4th dive was at Maaya Thila in the North Male Atoll as a night dive. We could observe the regular fish of the day-time sleeping! The water temperature was 26-28 deg.C. The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. To be continued…
