Hi! Now, the Maldives is right in the middle of it’s dry season! It is the best time to come over because the weather is very nice out here! Here is the report from our latest trip. The 1st dive was at Maagiri Rock in the North Male Atoll. Regular Bluestriped Snappers welcomed us at the reef and the Longnose Hawkfish were being shy and showing off their cute gingham check dress at a time. The 2nd and the 3rd dives were at Rasdhoo Madivaru in the #Rasdhoo Atoll. We went along with the reef observing Grey Reef Sharks, Whitetip Sharks, big Dogtooth Tunas, Giant Trevallies, Bluefin Trevallies and Black Jacks. Besides, we found a Blotched Fantail Ray taking a nap on a sand and also a school of Bigeye Trevallies were seen during our safety stop.
The day 2, we had the 1st dive of the day was at Fish Head in the North Ari Atoll. The visibility was fantastic as further as 30 meters. We could see the entire landscape! It was fun to watch Giant Trevallies, Bluefin Trevallies and Dogtooth Tunas attacking Fusiliers, a juvenile Spotted Eagle Ray swimming slowly by above us, False Moorish Idols and Redtoothed Triggerfish and Bengal Snappers AKA pseudo bluestriped snappers making their formation, and a Hawksbill Turtle focused on eating! The 2nd and the 3rd dives were at Moofushi Kandu in the South Ari Atoll. The 6 of Reef Manta Rays were hovering around the cleaning station. Besides, Grey Reef Sharks, Dogtooth Tunas were seen in the blue water. Dinner was held on the white sand beach. Very lovely. The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 26-28 deg.C. To be continued…
