The day 4, the 1st dive of the day was at Rangali Madivaru in the South Ari Atoll. There were many scuba divers because the Reef Manta Rays have been observed often at this point recently. And here the Manta Rays come! Around 20 or more Manta Rays were seen! The 2nd and the 3rd dive were at Maamigili Out in the North Ari Atoll aiming for Whale Sharks. Unfortunately we didn’t have a luck for that, but there were still a lot of fun in the water including Macros.
The day 5, the 1st dive of the day was Kudarah Thila in the South Ari Atoll. The strong wind from northeast continued blowing since yesterday. Grey Reef Sharks, Dogtooth Tunas, a pair of Spotted Eagle Rays, Bluestriped Snappers, Fusiliers and Giant Trevallies were seen. The 2nd dive was at Five Rocks. I love it here because of the land shape, which has many Sea Fans near overhangs and channels. The 3rd dive was at Kunavashi Kandu in the Vaavu Atoll. We decided to make this 3rd dive happened in the last minute. It was a nice drift dive with seeing Bluestriped Snappers, Evansi Anthias and Pearl-spot Chromises. I was surprised by the individual size of them that were almost double compare to the other dive site in Maldives. The 4th dive was at Alimathaa Jetty as a night dive. It was a good idea that we delayed our entry time because of the big crowd of scuba diver in the water. It was less crowded of people, but crowded of fish such as Tawny Nurse Sharks and Rays. Especially, we saw a river of Tawny Nurse Sharks streaming above us! The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 26-28 deg.C. To be continued…
