Hi! We just returned from the “Short Trip.” The Short Trip allows us to go around Male and Ari Atoll within 3 days, kind of convenient especially you are super busy but need a getaway! Here is the report of the trip.
The day 1, we started with the 1st dive at Lankan Reef in the North Male Atoll. We could enjoy the schools of Yellowback Fusiliers, Yellowstripe Fusiliers, Neon Fusiliers and a few of Dogtooth Tunas! We could not find any Manta Rays at their cleaning station but Harlequin Sweetlips and Camouflage Groupers were getting cleaned instead. The 2nd dive was at Kan Thila. There were too many of Redtoothed Triggerfish! Wherever we went look they were there. Ha! Then, we found a school of Grey Reef Sharks! Hooray! We could even find some baby Grey Reef Sharks in the crowd. They were so cute! The 3rd dive was at Fesdhoo Goni, aiming for making this dive as a Night Manta Dive. Waited a little while, and we finally made it with a couple of Reef Manta Rays! They swam very close by. It was very exciting! The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. To be continued…
