The day 7, our last day for this trip started at Kihaa Rock in the Baa Atoll. It was a rainy day from the early morning unfortunately but it didn’t matter for the lives under the water. There was almost no current at all. We could observe much more fish around the reef. Especially we could see thoroughly the difference of Yellowtail Snappers, Bluebanded Snappers and Five-lined Snappers, those who looked very alike, in person! The 2nd dive of the day was at Nelivaru Corner. We found the a couple of Reef Manta Rays at their cleaning station. They stayed with us from the beginning to the end of the dive! The 3rd dive was at Nerivaru Haa. The number of the fish here, especially Luminous Cardinalfish and Silver-stripe Round Herring, keep increasing! We really can’t see anything else but them! At the end, we found a cute Giant Frogfish sitting on the sun polyps coral. That made me very excited! On our way back to the North Male Atoll, we had this luck to see the school of Pilot Whales! OMG!! That was such an unusual event happened even to the boat crew as well! The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C.
We celebrated our guests’ birthday and the memorable milestone on diving. Congratulations! Thank you all for joining us and also for making this trip fun! Hope to see you all again!
