The day 3, our boat was in the Baa Atoll waiting for the time with Frenzy Manta Rays. The 1st dive of the day was at Dhigu Thila. In the strong current, we grabbed the rocky surface to settle and waited. First, a couple of Spotted Eagle Rays passed by, then Manta Rays, four of them, passed by from the other side. One by one, in a line, just passed by as if they were commuting. Besides, we encountered with a school of Collare Butterflyfish and Redtoothed triggerfish. It was impressive. The 2nd dive was at Dega Thila. This is one the hidden reefs in the Baa Atoll. We found many Longnose Hawkfish everywhere. Checked up on the schools of Bluebanded Snappers at the deep overhang. And enjoyed the Anthias paradise around the reef. The 3rd dive was at Dharavandhoo Manta Point. Of course it was for Manta Rays! We waited and waited at the cleaning station but there was no sign. When we almost gave up on it as we were at the safety stop one of our groups encountered the famous Frenzy Manta Rays! Then, all of us quickly exited, searched from the boat and jumped into the ocean with Snorkel. Hooray! All of us could enjoy the Frenzy Manta Rays of over 50 of them with snorkeling. Everyone was so energized even though it was after 3 tanks of dive. To be continued…
