The day 4, we were at the South Ari Atoll. The 1st and the 2nd dives were both at Lux Out aiming for the encounter with Whale Sharks. We successfully spotted one with the 2nd dive. The Whale Shark passed by us slowly and came back to us! All of us got very excited with it! Besides, 5 of Indo-Pacific Sailfish and Bottlenose Dolphins were seen in the water as well. The 3rd dive was at Alimathaa Jetty in the Vaavu Atoll. I would say this was the most popular night dive spot in the Maldives. So many Nurse Sharks, Giant Trevallies, and Rays are everywhere very close to us! We were all satisfied very much.
The day 5, last diving day of the trip, we came back to the South Male Atoll. The 1st dive of the day was at Kandooma Thila aiming for big fish. The endless school of Bigeye Trevallies welcomed us in the water. Besides, we enjoyed the school of Oriental Sweetlips at the overhung. The Fusiliers and Grey Reef Sharks were seen in the middle as we expected. Before the 2nd dive a couple of Manta Rays came to us to say hello! We jumped in the water with snorkel. We were so lucky to see them hovered around very closely. The 2nd dive was at Graidhoo Manta Point. We had 5 Manta Rays in the water with diving this time! The 3rd dive was at Villivaru Gili. It was relaxing Macro dive with nudibranches and many juveniles. Also endemic Madagascar Butterflyfish and Evansianthias were there. We had two guests who had their memorable dives of a 1000th and 1500th dives during this trip! Congratulations! That’s a lot of dives!
The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The 3mm wetsuit was recommended. Thank you all for joining us and also for making this trip amazing! Hope to see you all again!
