Apr30 – May09, 2023
Apr30, 2023
Customer embarkation date. General orientation after being guided to each cabin
and crew introductions. After dinner, depart for Socorro Islands at 20:00.
May01, 2023 Unfortunately, the outbound route was in very strong wind conditions.
High waves never subside until we reach San Benedicto
It was a rough and turbulent voyage.
May02-23, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
Due to weather conditions, I had to dive three times a day at El Cañón for two days.
Underwater conditions were much better than expected, with visibility of around 15 mts and water temperature of 24ºC on both days.
Schools of hammers and manta rays are active on both days and come out many times, and schools of tuna are ridiculously large.
04-05/05/23 Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
Strong winds continue. Since the movement is difficult, the diving on the 3-4th day
Point of Cabo Pierce two days in a row. Clarity is 10-15 mts, water temperature is 24ºC.
There was almost no current in the water, so I was able to enjoy a comfortable dive.
Because there are many elderly people in the group and they wanted a relaxing dive
This time, the style is to relax and enjoy three bottles a day. here with manta
Dolphins are very popular.
06/05/23 Isla Socorro ( Punta Tosca )
Strong winds continue. Volcanic ash was also blown up, and the transparency on this day was 10 mts.
Water temperature 24ºC. By the time the second dive is over, I can’t continue diving at this point.
The wind was so strong that it was impossible and forced us to raise our anchors and move.
When I moved to Cabo Pierce and started the third run, I was lucky.
A happy surprise that a whale shark appeared! !
May07, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
After all, the wind did not subside until this day, and this time from the beginning to the end
It has become a trip of being shaken. The transparency at the final part is 10mts and the water temperature is 24ºC.
The final day is shark, shark, shark diving. A swarm of hammers, of course,
Galapagos, Silvertip, and other three shark festivals complete this dive!

Socorro season Apr 18th-27th, 2023
Apr18th, 2023
Welcome orientation after arrival and guidance to each cabin
and crew introductions. After dinner, depart for the Revillagigedo Islands.
Apr19th, 2023
It was a little windy on the way out and the waves were high. Although it shook in the morning, in the afternoon
The wind has subsided a little, so I feel relieved.
Apr20th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
The first day of diving started with 3 dives. Three other ships were converging at the same point.
Clarity averages 10 mts, water temperature 24ºC. The influence of volcanic ash has come out a little, and the transparency is
While not the best, the fish are super energetic. Shark Parade (Hammer,
white tip, silver tip, silky, galapagos)
A typical Socorro day with manta rays wandering around.
Day 4 (Apr21st, 2023) Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
The second day is a lucky day with 4 dives♪
Clarity 15 mts, water temperature 24ºC. A day filled with manta rays.
In the second half, the current gradually became stronger, and on the 4th run, it felt like I had my hands full trying to avoid the current.
Day 5 (April 22nd, 2023)
Continuing from yesterday, Cabo Pierce. Clarity was better than yesterday, averaging around 20mts, water temperature 24ºC.
Of the three, the two in the morning were particularly good. to dolphins, manta rays and hammers
In addition, there is also a school of tuna that is worth seeing. Navy inspection after finishing three.
Day 6 (Apr23rd, 2023) Roca Partida
The conditions are perfect, especially the first two runs have a transparency of 20mts, a water temperature of 24ºC, and a good flow.
There was almost nothing, and when I was happy that I could easily dive, a whale shark appeared.
To be honest, Roca Partida is still a bit off, and there aren’t many big players.
Just when I was expecting it, this big guy suddenly appeared, and everyone suddenly got excited!
Day7 (Apr24th, 2023) Isla San Benedicto ( El Boiler )
Oh my God! Another Jinbei here in the boiler! ! !
Roca and Boiler and Jinbei for two days in a row are too lucky. such as hammers and manta rays
The usual big things look like small things lol
Clarity 20 mts, water temperature 24ºC. A day where I could dive perfectly and enjoy a pleasant fatigue.
Day8 (Apr25th, 2023) San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
Although the wind became stronger and the transparency fell as forecast, it was within expectations.
The flow was strong in the first run and it was a tough fight. The 2nd and 3rd shots have calmed down a bit, and the hammer’s
End the last day while enjoying a large herd.
Day9 (Apr26th, 2023)
On the way back, we were hit by strong winds. The ship shook quite a bit, so some customers got drunk.
The wind did not weaken on the way, and the return trip was swaying from beginning to end,
Especially for the last 100 miles
It’s hard to know that this kind of thing can happen to a natural opponent.
Day10 (Apr27th, 2023)
In the midst of the rough weather, I finally returned to the port safely on the long route.
After breakfast, the trip was completed with an airport transfer. good job for today!

Customer boarding. Dinner after guiding the ship with general briefing after guiding to each cabin.
Departure with wind and waves for a while after departure.
Apr 08th, 2023
All-day moving day. The first half was still windy from yesterday, but it calmed down in the second half.
Apr 09th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
Due to the influence of many boats gathering, the first day started with three boats.
All three dives were so fulfilling that I couldn’t choose which one was the best. Among the many sharks gathered, Hammer is especially energetic. Little current, 10 mts clarity, 24ºC water temperature.
Apr10th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Boiler )
Four today
Hit the first and third. Dolphins appear in the first run, and manta rays circle around them. The third is a spectacular performance of manta rays and hammers. Clarity 20 mts, water temperature 24ºC.
Apr 11th, 2023 Roca Partida
Locapartida, which I’m interested in, dives three times. Although sharks and tuna came out, it didn’t explode as much as I expected, and it was a plain dive. The start was 20 mts clarity and 24ºC water temperature. While a thermocline occurred on the way, the transparency decreased in the latter half, and the water temperature dropped by 1-2°C.
Apr13th, 2023 Seguimos en Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
Expecting the same fever as yesterday, Kabo Pierce today. As expected, the manta ray show is dangerous again today. Another dolphin came by and greeted all the divers. It was a lucky 4 dive day, and after a very satisfying day, we started moving towards San Benedicto Island.

Briefing, introduction of the crew, and dinner before departure.
There was a slight wind, and the ship was slightly rocking at the start.
Mar 22nd, 2023
I assumed a tailwind from the north, but there were only a few waves and
It was a fairly smooth route.
Mar 23rd, 2023 Isla San Benedicto (El Cañón)
Although the wind began to blow at dawn as forecast, we arrived at San Benedicto safely.
There are other diving cruise ships staying in the same area, and three on this day
diving. Excellent conditions, 20 mts clarity, 24ºC.
All three hit and dived. shark (hammer, galapagos, silver tip,
White Chip, Black Chip) is unlimited viewing. Manta rays are also friendly.
I was very happy from the first day. According to the wind forecast for this week, surely
I moved to Socorro Island while expecting other ships to move in the same way.
Mar 24th, 2023 Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
As expected, several ships gathered, but fortunately I was the second starter.
I did 4 dives that day. How the manta ray dances around the diver one after another
I can only describe it as elegant. Especially the 4th one is about to touch
She was thrilled to swim so close. Dolphins also appeared, but this
Observation from a little distance without approaching.
Clarity 15 mts, water temperature 24ºC. There was a stream all day long.
Mar 27th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto (El Cañón )
4 this day! Clearness of 20 mts and water temperature of 24ºC are perfect conditions.
Sharks, manta rays, and dolphins, all of which are said to be Sokoro, are all in full force.
Mar 28th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Boiler )
I’ve seen too many big shots and thought there was nothing more, but no
As expected of Socorro. Everyone was surprised by the Boiler on the final day. . . . .
Finally, I encountered a humpback whale in the water, and a parent and child! ! ! ! ! next to it
Dolphins and manta rays. Her eyes are heart-shaped and her chest is pounding. strong wind in the first half
All the things that bothered me were the best day ever.
This kind of situation is rare, so the guide is more excited! ?
It looked like it would be windy on the way back, so I thought it would be better to leave early.
Two dives on the final day at the discretion of the captain.

Safely arrived at San Benedicto Island at dawn.

Jan 24th, 2023
In the second half of the trip, the wind seemed to get stronger, so
On the second day of diving, I moved to ROCA PARTIDA and did three dives.
The point of Roca that used to be synonymous with Socorro
After all, I can’t see the gorgeousness like the old days again this time. but,
Keep a close eye on Galapagos sharks, silvertips, and tuna.
Clarity 20mts, water temperature 24ºC. As forecast, the wind will get stronger in the evening
It’s becoming !!
Jan 25th, 2023 Isla Socorro ( Punta tosca )
I started diving at Punta Tosca, except for one manta and a dolphin.
The ocean situation is not good enough, so I rounded up here with two. Clarity 10 mts, water temperature 23ºC.
After finishing the navy inspection, the third one moved to CABO PIERCE.
This is a fun one as the manta rays come close to the divers.
Jan 26th, 2023
Continuing from yesterday, CABO PIERCE today.
A very satisfying day with 4 manta rays !!
Jan 27th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
The two runs in the morning were hit by strong currents, and the transparency was around 5 mts.
It’s pretty bad and disappointing. Conditions improved rapidly in the afternoon.
For Hammer, Silver Tip, White Tip, Galapagos, Dusky
In addition, tiger sharks ♪♪♪
Jan 28th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Boiler )
During the trip, this day was by far the best condition.
Clarity 30 mts! Water temperature 24ºC.
Tiger sharks will come out again, manta rays, hammers and
Enjoy 3 dives that are unique to Socorro where big fish appear one after another.
On the final day, I was finally able to show Socorro’s ability.
The guide also takes a breather.

Valentina SOCORRO Jan09 trip report #5 Jan 09-18, 2023 Jan 15th,
2023 Start diving at Punta Tosca, another point on the same Socorro Island. Unfortunately, volcanic ash was floating in the water, and the transparency was poor.
Rounded off with one run here, then returned to Cabo Pierce for run 2 and run 3.
Cabo Pierce was also less transparent than yesterday, but the manta ray It was as active as ever and kept divers entertained.
Jan 16th, 2023 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón ) El Cañón is definitely the hit point of the week.
It was a day full of big shots as good as the day four days ago. After enjoying 2 plenty of Hammer, Manta, Galapagos Shark, Dolphin etc. Headed back to San Jose.
Jan 17th, 2023 Moving day. The waves are relatively calm, and the route is as planned.

17:00 Arrival of guests. Guidance to each cabin.
18:30 General orientation and crew introduction
19:30 Dinner
21:00 Depart for Revillagigedo. The route was a little rocky.
Dec 14th, 2022
I was a little worried because it was shaking quite a bit in the morning
In the afternoon the waves subsided a little and we managed to reach Socorro.
Dec 15th, 2022 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
There is no current, the transparency is low around 10m due to the influence of volcanic ash, and the water temperature is 24ºC.
I was able to dive 4 times without any problems, but to be honest, the result was a little plain.
That said, I can’t really complain about hammers and manta rays, lol
16/12/22 Isla San Benedicto ( El Boiler )
Within the same San Benedicto island, change points to El Boiler.
It’s not that far away, but I was pleasantly surprised.
With 15 mts transparency and 25º C water temperature, all 4 hits!
Dolphins, manta rays, and tiger sharks abound as well as silvertips.
Hammers come out in flocks, and the flocks of horse mackerel are also very impressive.
The ocean is unpredictable.
Dec 17th, 2022 Roco Partida
The wind has subsided and the conditions are excellent.
Because 4 boats gathered at the same point, I did 3 dives that day.
Clarity 20 mts, water temperature 26ºC.
The number of silver chips, white chips, etc. has also been revived and Roca Partida
Jinbei appeared where I thought it was becoming a typical diving! ! ! !
Diving in three groups, but in all groups
A wonderful day for all customers to thoroughly enjoy Jinbei!
Dec 18th, 2022
Three on this day. The transparency is as low as 10m and the water temperature is 25ºC.
The first one is Roca Oneil. Maybe it’s because it was too calm and the flow stopped
Manta rays and hammers come out, but it doesn’t go as far as fever
Little by little. In the second half, we moved to Punta tosca. this is pretty
Not only are there many manta rays, but the distance to the divers is very close.
Everyone’s tension rises again ~.
Dec 19th 2022 Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
Cabo Pierce, who had a big fever on the previous trip, raised expectations even if he didn’t like it.
When I entered, the transparency was 20 mts and the water temperature was 25ºC. At the same time as the entry, manta rays and
Hammer dances wildly. All 4 of them are still this and this
One crowd after another. I’m sure Cabo Pierce is the most hit right now.
It was so amazing that the customer asked me to stay at the same point tomorrow without moving from here.
There was a request to dive, so I decided to change the schedule and stay at the same point!
Dec 20th, 2022 Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
Same or better Cabo Pierce than yesterday.
The relationship with dolphins is definitely more than yesterday.
When I played with manta rays to the point where I couldn’t stand it anymore, I saw angel fish that I hadn’t seen before.
The herd also begins to notice something really amazing.
It’s too much fun and it’s too bad that this is the last diving day of this cruise—.
I want to keep diving!
Dec 21th, 2022
I got carried away with the last dive and ended up with Cabo Pierce,
The return journey is longer than usual Bitter smile
Although there are some waves, many underwater photos until yesterday
Head to Cabo while exchanging.
Dec 22nd, 2022
02:00 After a long voyage of 42 hours (!), we finally arrived at San José del Cabo.
After breakfast, transfer customers to the airport, complete at 13:00!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this trip a happy one.

Dec 04th, 2022
The way out is much calmer.
There was little shaking, and I was able to proceed with the presentation smoothly.
Dec 05th, 2022 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón y El Boiler )
Compared to the previous trip, the transparency of the dive sites on San Benedict Island is
It’s about twice as good, and the conditions are much better, which is a relief.
The transparency is about 20m and the water temperature is 28ºC.
From the first check dive at El Cañón, hammers and silver chips,
A tiger shark welcomes you.
It was forecast that the wind would rise from tomorrow, so the Boiler
I wanted to dive, so I moved to Boiler in the second half.
Continuing from the previous trip, the number of manta rays at Boiler was small for some reason. rather like a shark
There are more other fish and it’s fun but not Boilerish.
Dec 06th, 2022 Roca Partida
Clarity 20 mts, water temperature 28ºC.
Last trip Roca Partida was kind of lonely, but this time it was much better.
Three comfortable dives in a group of various sharks.
Dec 07th, 2022 Isla Socorro ( Punta tosca )
Clarity 15 mts, water temperature 26ºC.
On this day, all 3 dives were lucky dives surrounded by manta rays.
Dolphins and hammers were perfect, and it was a fulfilling day.
After receiving the navy inspection after finishing the third run,
Move to Isla Socorro.
Dec 08th, Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
Clarity 15-20mts, water temperature 28ºC. 4 dives on this day, all 4 dives into a group of hammers
I was lucky enough to win Cabo Pierce.
Especially in the second and third runs, in addition to hammers, dolphins and manta rays gathered.
It was so much fun that I decided to dive for another day at the same point tomorrow.
Dec 09th, Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
Remaining on this point is a great answer. Continuing from yesterday, Hammer & Dolphin & Manta Ray
Constantly hovering near divers.
A big hit day without any complaints. The potential of the sea of Socorro
It was an extremely luxurious day that was shown to me.
Dec 10th, 2022 Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
The ocean situation is not bad, but yesterday and the day before yesterday were too flashy.
Compared to that, today’s diving felt sober. Luxury lol
Dec 11th, 2022
The return trip is calm. There were almost no waves, and we returned to port smoothly.

I was able to do four dives perfectly. Although I felt that the manta rays were smaller than usual
Playing with dolphins during diving from the first day and joining a group of hammers
Encountering, and seeing as if it were The Socorro,
Customers are very satisfied.
Nov 26th, 2022 Isla San Benedicto ( El Boiler )
For some reason, the number of manta rays is still small today.
Manta rays usually come out so much that I get tired of manta heaven
Only one came out though it was a boiler.
However, there are many other fish such as hammerheads.
4 dives without getting bored.
At the end, a group of hammers came out to a fairly shallow water.
This is also a rare occurrence, so it was a boiler with a different feeling than usual.
Nov 27th, 2022 Isla Socorro ( Cabo Pierce )
When I went south, it was about 20m with good transparency.
The water temperature here is also 27ºC. today is another lucky day with 4 dives.
All four dives are very good dives. manta rays, dolphins,
In addition to hammers, tiger sharks too!
Nov 28th, 2022 Isla Socorro ( Roca O Nélida & Punta Tosca )
In the first two, the manta rays came close to the divers.
Powerful. Volcanic ash was blown up for the second run, and the transparency was slightly reduced.
Observe the group of hammers firmly.
Punta Tosca in the second half with manta rays, dolphins and tiger sharks
A gorgeous line-up of 4 on this day as well.
Nov 29th, 2022 Roca Partida
The condition of Roca Partida, which we are looking forward to, is not so good as the transparency is only 10m.
The water temperature is warm at 28ºC. Last year was a bad year for Roca Partida,
Maybe this year it makes me think that other points might be better than Roca
Thinness of fish shadow. Even the promised rocky white chips are scarce.
Nov 30th, 2022 Isla San Benedicto (El Cañón)
When I moved to EL CAÑÓN, it was many times better than Roca Partida! !
hammerhead, galapagos shark, silver tip, black tip,
A parade of sharks, one after another, with white tip, silky, and tiger.
Diving for this trip is over with three gorgeous dives suitable for the last day.
In the afternoon, we headed north on our way home.

In conditions with westerly winds, it is quite difficult to decide the route.
The first is Punta Lobo. Transparency 15 m, water temperature 28ºC. Mobras and turtles
While coming out, the check dive was completed safely.
I was quite hesitant whether to go to La Reyna for the second one,
The wind wasn’t going to be that strong, so I decided to take the plunge.
Although there were some waves, the water was transparent at 20m and the water temperature was 28ºC.
The condition is also good. Giant manta rays also appeared firmly,
The horse mackerel ball is also perfect. The machete herd is also beautiful, and of course the sea lions.
If the sea was a little calmer, I would have liked to dive one more here.
It was getting a little rough, so I decided to move the third one.
The third is Suwanee Leaf. Transparency 15 m, water temperature 28ºС, flock following flock, (Spottail grunt,
Mexican goat fish, yellowtail surgeonfish, etc) a little rare here
Seahorses too. Signal Blenny is popular as usual, and so are sea lions.
One that came ♡ out and was more fulfilling than expected

*Phenomenal crew & guides though. Thanks for keeping us safe the entire time – esp to Diego for when I freaked out a bit under water when I couldn’t catch my breath 😊
Lorenzo & Cesar, you were both amazing too. I liked that we switched up DMs everyday.
*Loved the trip though & can’t wait to come back!
*Also thanks so much for the multiple birthday celebrations! So thoughtful, fun & appreciated.
*Good luck & safe travels for all your future trips. Thanks again, Heather.

Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
Very nice ocean condition with visibility 60ft, water temperture 78F.
Per group request, this trip was scheduled with 3dives/day.
Sharks were very active from very first day of diving,
specially hammerhead sharks were all where around the dive area.
Mantas and other sharkes came along with divers as expected,
just looked like telling us ‘welcome to Socorro !!’.
Jan23rd, DAY4
Isla San Benedicto (El Boiler)
Ocean condition was great as same as yesterday.
The first dive was “Mas o Menos” with not enough mantas
but the second and the third was so lit!!
Numbers of mantas came super close to divers, swimming around and around.
Condition looked good and decided to vitist Roca Partida next day.
Even the classic rock hole white tip has gone somewhere
The number is small. Even if I check with other cruise ships, it seems that the situation is the same, and I am honestly disappointed.
Jan24th, DAY5
Roca Partida
Visibility 75ft, water temperture 78F.
Though water condition was great, marine life was not
not very active, this season Roca Partida has not being able to bring out the full potential.
There was several mantas on our first dive but not very much
sharks. Even genuine classic white tip sharks in the caves were out and only a few left there.
Was happening same to all other dive boat and looked like
Roca Partida can not live up to our expectation this season, we’d decided to dive other site for next day.
Jan26-27 th, DAY7&8
Isla San Benedicto ( El Cañón )
Definately El Cañón is the best dive site this season,
way better with great potaintial than Roca Partida.
We stayed whole last two days here and played with mantas and sharks.
A whale calf with the mother appeard and surprised us
while our guest was filming video with a drone, just just incredible!!

[Mexico] Trip Report : MAR.05- 14, 2020, Socorro Islands Vol.6
[#Mexico] Trip Report : MAR.05 – 14, 2020, #Socorro Islands Vol.6Day 6, the last day of diving for the trip, we had two dives at El Canyon. The water temperature was 22-23 deg.C. The visibility was 10-15 meters. The 1st dive had a strong current and the 2nd dive had a strong heave as sea condition. In the early morning, we heard of Dolphins! And yes, although it was a blink, but they passed by us quickly. We stayed nearby the reef aiming for an encounter with Hammerheads since the water was cloudy. There was a wall of Creole Fish. Then, over the wall of Creoles, there was a couple of Hammerhead Sharks! As we moved to the cleaning station, there was many of Silvertip Sharks swimming around. One of them was soooo big! Just as big as a Galapagos Shark. Besides, we could observe the glitter schools of Bigeye Trevallies and Cottonmouth Jacks! So beautiful! Thank you all for choosing us and also for making this trip fantastic! Hope to see you all again!
