Day 4, it was clear, nice blue sky. The 1st dive of the day was at Five Rocks in the South Ari atoll. This is one of my favorite spots in Maldives because we can enjoy many overhangs, water corridors and healthy soft and hard corals. There were many Neon Fusiliers and Variablelined Fusiliers at the place where the currents met. The iron regulars here like Dogtooth Tunas, Bluefin Trevallies and Giant Trevallies were seen as well. And the healers, Seagoldies and Indian Frame Basslets were beautifully dancing on the top of the reef. The 2nd and the 3rd dives were at Moofushi Kandu. There were many Whitetip Reef Sharks resting at the sand area. More than 30 of them, I guessed. Unfortunately there was no Manta Rays found at their cleaning station although many scuba divers were there to see Mantas. Surprisingly we could find a Leaf Scorpionfish. Although I was not sure if that was as same as the one we found last year at the same spot! The 4th dive was at Maayafushi Lagoon in the North Ari atoll aiming for night Manta Rays. We saw total 5 of Manta Rays during the night dive! The water temperature was 26-31 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The visibility was 10-20 meters. To be continued…
