Day 7 was designated to be a search for whale shark day! We had 2 dives at Lux Out in the South Ari atoll. However, it was the worst weather day of the trip. Unfortunately, we could not find any of them but something happened beyond our expectation! We suddenly noticed that there was a blowing-air on the surface from our dhoni. We got closer to it very quietly. Then, guess what? A Whale! It was much bigger than our dhoni! Incredible! We happily ran with it side by side for a while.
Day 8, finally the sun came out clearly on the last day of this trip. The 1st dive was at Kandooma Thila in the South Male atoll. The hundreds of Bigeye Trevallies welcomed us in the water. What surprised us most here was the Hybrid Angelfish, which were mix of Indian Smoke Angelfish and Threespot Angelfish. Besides, there were Spotted Eagle Ray and Grey Reef Sharks at the cleaning station. They all woke us up very well. The 2nd dive was at Maagiri Rock in the North Male atoll. We enjoyed the hide and go seek with the baby Palette Surgeonfish underneath of table corals. The endemic Starry Dragonets, Tall-fin Shrimpgobbies and Dracula Shrimpgobbies entertained us near the main reef and the sand area. The trip finished with the last dive at Fish Tank. Of course it was aimed for Giant Guitarfish! And we made it!!!!!!!! Awesome! We also celebrated one of our guests memorable dive of the 1200th tank! Congratulations!
