Hi! We had another wonderful adventure, went around Male and Ari atoll. Because of the low pressure near Sri Lanka, we had strong rain and wind for the first half of the trip but it turned to a very good condition as if we were in the dry season for the second half. The 1st dive was at Lankan Reef in the North Male atoll. Luckily we were the only group at the site. As we entered to the water near by the Manta’s cleaning station, Batfish Tierafish welcomed us! And also a Alfred Manta came by! It was a great start! The 2nd dive was at Maaya Thila in North Ari atoll. Sudden squall made the visibility lower, just like a night dive in a day-time. But some nocturnally creatures such as Moray Eels and Banded Coral shrimps were seen active because of the darkness. At the spot where the currents scramble, we still enjoyed to observe Neon Fusiliers and Variablelined Fusiliers attacked by Giant Trevallies and Bluefin Trevallies. Besides, the cute size of Grey Reef Sharks swam around us again and again. The 3rd dive was at Maayafushi Lagoon as a night Manta. We succeeded to see a Manta Ray! The air temperature was 26-31 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The 3mm or 5 mm wetsuit was recommended. The visibility was 10-20m. To be continued…
