Day 2, we had reached to the Baa atoll hoping for the Frenzy Manta Rays. The 1st dive of the day was at Dhonfanu THila in the Baa atoll. The Neon Fusiliers and Yellowback Fusiliers made a big wall at the place where the current hit. Then, a couple of the Spotted Eagle Rays welcomed us. Guess what was waiting for us after passing the swim through? Manta Rays! Hooray! The 2nd dive of the day was at Dega Thila in the Baa atoll. We could spot the same Trilobate Frogfish we found the week before. Longnose Hawkfish were doing hide and seek as usual in the bush. Inside of the overhang, there were plethora of Luminous Cardinalfish. The 3rd dive was at Kihaadhoofaru Thila. We decided to have the 3rd dive before seeking the Frenzy Mantas. Enjoyed the dynamic landscape and macros. After the dive we headed to the Hanifaru Bay to snorkel with the Frenzy Manta Rays. There were many snorkelers at the beginning but also Dolphins! And we encountered with the 30+ frenzy Manta Rays!!!! At the end, we were the only group snorkeling there! Yay! The air temperature was 26-31 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The 3mm or 5 mm wetsuit was recommended. The visibility was 10-30m. To be continued…
