Hola! Here is the trip report of the latest Socorro trip. The day 1 at El Canyon, the water temperature was 24-25 deg.C. Although we could not go out for the blue water because the current was a bit strong for the two dives in the morning, yet we encountered with many Sharks. And a Black Manta Ray appeared right after the entry and a couple of Manta Rays also showed up later on! The current got mellowed in the afternoon. And the visibility was fantastic! The recent regular, the expecting mother Galapagos Shark appeared as well. Then, Silvertip Shark, Dusky Sharks and even Hammerhead Sharks joined for the shark show! Additionally, we had a great luck to see a Black Manta Ray on the surface, jumped up from the ocean to the air as we were on a dinghy.
The day 2 at El Canyon in a row because of the strong wind at the El Boiler, the condition there was great. The hunting Dolphins were chasing fish in their top speed! They kept hunting around us so we just settled and observed. And all the sharks, Whitetip, Silvertip, Dusky, Galapagos and Hammerhead appeared again and again! At the end, a gigantic Tiger Shark showed up! It was about the size of a dinghy or even bigger! Yay! To be continued…
