The day 3, we dove at Sun Island Out for the 1st dive of the day, and at Lux Out for the 2nd dive in South Ari Atoll. It was such a wonderfully clear weather, perfect for the Whale Shark search. We had a luck to encounter with it at Lux Out. We found it snorkel and scuba dive as well. Jumped into the water with snorkel at first but it went to deep. It was a good decision we made that quickly switched to scuba dive at this point. Then, the 7-meter-Whale Shark came from our straightforward! At the end, we could encounter with another Whale Shark in the water. The second one was a bit smaller than the first one. The 3rd dive was at Kudarah Thila. This is one of my favorites because we can find a big size of Fusiliers’ school with a weaker current. Not only Fusiliers but Bluebanded Snappers are to be seen at the reef. The Spotted Eagle Rays appeared above us as well. We saw colorful Anthias and Maldives Anemonefish at the end. I got healed as always.
The day 4 , continued the nice weather as if we were in the dry season. The 1st dive of the day was at Five Rock in the South Ari Atoll. A great condition with no wave, a great visibility and a nice current from the blue water. We found a school of Yellowback Fusiliers streaming like a river and False moorish idols. The 2nd dive was at Mahibadhoo Manta Point. Despite the fact that there were many of scuba divers at the cleaning station, we still successfully saw a couple of Manta Rays getting cleaned graciously. We moved a little to North for the 3rd dive at Omadhoo Thila. This point has some swim through with Oriental Sweetlips and Black Pyramid Butterflyfish.
The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. To be continued…
