#Maldives Trip Report : DEC. 16-23 2017, #Male-#Ari-#Vaavu Route Vol.4
The day 4, it was very clear, such a nice day for searching Whale Sharks! The 1st dive of the day was at Bodufinolhu Out in South Ari Atoll. We started searching for Whale Sharks very early morning. Could spot Dolphins but not Whale Sharks. We switched to search it in the water. There were so many fish in the water but not Whale Shark. The 2nd dive was at Sun Island Out. Even while we were at the breakfast table we didn’t stop searching Whale Sharks. Still no chance from the surface to spot it. We, again, switched the search in the water. About 5 to 10 minutes later the entry, we found a Zebra Shark sleeping on the sand. Then, BINGO! We finally found a Whale Shark above us! The 3rd dive was as a night dive at Alimatha Jetty in Vaavu Atoll. The night dive was more than amazing! Because the number of Tawny Nurse Sharks was more than usual that night. The air temperature was 28-32 deg.C. The water temperature was 29 deg.C. The 3mm wetsuit was recommended. To be continued…
