#Maldives Trip Report : DEC. 09-16 2017, #Male-#Ari-#Vaavu Route Vol.5
The day 5, both of the 1st and 2nd dive of the day were at Fotteyo in Vaavu Atoll but the 1st was a blue water dive and the 2nd was a channel dive. The 1st dive was literally just a blue water we could see. The 2nd dive, we encountered with Spotted Eagle Rays right after the entry! And Indian Butterfly fish were observed better because they were not that deep in here. Besides, we could enjoy the unique shapes of the land, such as overhang and swim through hole. A school of Black Pyramid Butterfly fish appeared to see us off at the end. The 3rd dive was at Miyaru Kandu. We stayed at the bottom and observed about a dozen of Grey Reef Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks and Napoleon Fish! Then, A compact school of Bigeye Trevallies came to us very closely. As per guests’ request, the 4th dive was a night dive at Alimatha Jetty, two nights in a row! I really understood that! Unfortunately, there were a lot of scuba divers in the water this time. And the Sharks didn’t come closer to us. To be continued…
